Summary:
The COTN Resource Development department is seeking Resources Connection Volunteers to contact and secure US businesses that will provide supplies and donate resources for COTN Children's Homes, schools, and community outreach programs. Training and assistance will be provided, as well as editorial resources and materials to be used for applying for donations or partnerships. NOTE: This position is flexible in regards to whether a person serves on-site at the nearest COTN office or off-site.
Responsibilities:

  • Online sourcing for needs on the COTN overall needs list
  • Search for opportunities to contact businesses online and in-person to donate strategic resource supply needs
  • Follow-up on leads given to COTN Resource Development through emails and phone calls

Description

Children of the Nations (COTN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising children who transform nations. Founded in 1995, the organization currently provides holistic care to orphaned and destitute children in Sierra Leone, Malawi, Uganda,Liberia, Haiti, and the Dominican Republic. By partnering with nationals, they establish full-care residential Children's Homes (for orphans) and Village Partnership Programs (to benefit orphans and children living with destitute families or caregivers who are unable to properly provide for them). Children of the Nations believes that true, lasting, and meaningful change to a nation begins with the children, and so they are their mission.
