Empowered Girls is more than place, more than a group of girls gathering to play or create arts and craft projects.

Empowered Girls provides a safe haven where girls can open up about their feelings and experiences. Girls can speak their minds and ask questions without fear of criticism. Girls can learn about the world and opportunities that are available to them that they don’t even know exist.

Program &Workshop Facilitators

Duties & Responsibilities:

Volunteers and interns to facilitate workshops for girls using curriculum and activities provided by the Program Director. Lessons will vary, depending on the age group of the students. During the school year we provide teen and youth workshops at various locations (usually local libraries or church locations). Training will be provided and will be arranged by the Program Director.

One-time Volunteers/events:

• Guest speakers - especially women in professional and STEM related careers.

• Assistance with special events, ex. Girls Nights Out, Girls Summit, Family Fun Days

• Workshop facilitators/partners - facilitate a Saturday workshop or lead a workshop during our special event; this is ideal for local organizations or individuals to facilitate

• Fundraising - if you would like to host a friend-raiser or the fundraising event or join in our fundraisers

• Partners - we are always seeking people to partner with us to host events, fundraisers or workshops; also we could always use partners to introduce special segments to our programming or to assist with transporting the girls to and from events
