The Rockville Science Center sponsors Rockville Science Day every year with the support of the City of Rockville and Montgomery College. The event is on Sunday, April 22, noon to 5pm at Montgomery College in Rockville. We will have over 90 exhibitors from the community, local businesses, and academic institutions. There will be science activities for the whole family including chemistry, rocket launch, robotics, water conservation, birds and reptiles. We expect to have over 4,000 visitors. This is our 29th year.
We need volunteers to help setup, work with exhibitors, control the crowd, and clean up at the end of the event. We are looking for high school students, at least 16 years old and active adults. Volunteer efforts will start at 10am and go to 6pm. Training will be conducted at the event 9:30am to 10:00am.

Description
The Rockville Science Center is committed to developing a series of engaging and relevant programs for all citizens of Rockville, including the Science Cafs every third Tuesday of the month. "Explorations," a one day science excursion, and Robotics league for middle-school are just two of a collection of programs designed to develop science literacy that meet the interests of our citizens. The Rockville Science Center intends to develop engaging and relevant activities for all citizens of Rockville.
The Rockville Science Center’s long-term vision is to develop a vibrant facility that offers an educational forum for citizens of all ages to explore the wonders of science that underlie everyday life and that relate to the scientific community of our region.
