The purpose of Adopt a Block is to build relationships and offer assistance to low income and homeless families living in poverty stricken neighborhoods.
Volunteers mobilize throughout Los Angeles distributing food, clothing, and household necessities to low income and homeless families in addition to cleaning streets, gardening and neighborhood cleanup.
Adopt-a-Block: Every Saturday at 10:00am at The Dream Center. Volunteers under 17 must have parent or guardian supervision
Dress Code: Tennis Shoes, Jeans, no bandanas or gang paraphernalia.

The Dream Center's mission is to transform our inner city and the lives of those facing homelessness, poverty, or hopelessness. We offer opportunities and resources for at-risk youth, low income individuals, and families to reach self-sufficiency by providing assistance in the areas of food, clothing, shelter, education, career development, and health care.
Description
The Dream Center is a volunteer driven social service provider 501c3 non-profit organization. We offer services and programs that are designed to help individuals and families move from dependency on public assistance to becoming self-reliant through providing basic necessities, emergency assistance and residential housing. All of these programs are availabe to anyone in need...free of charge.
