Join the King Conservation District (KCD) for a fun day of volunteering at our Native Plant Nursery. Plants from the KCD Nursery support restoration efforts of individuals, nonprofits, cities and other agencies throughout King County. Learn about growing native plants for stream and wetland restoration projects, while helping to perform critical nursery tasks. Activities include potting bareroot plants, divisions, transplants, helping to maintain nursery stock by watering and weeding. All volunteer activities take place outdoors.
Volunteers earn native plants for themselves or to donate to other organizations. Volunteer events are held two days every month(2nd Saturday and 3rd Friday, 9:00 am to 1:00pm).
Contact volunteer@kingcd.org if you would like more information about the project. Registration for this event is done on a different website. Information regarding how to register for this event will be provided after you respond to this post. Thank you.
