Needed, Certified Pet Therapist Volunteers
To provide Stimulation, Companionship and Support to our Hospice Patients and their families. Give back to the elder community, by offering pet companionship visits to patients with terminal illnesses.
Have you been thinking about ways in which you can give back? Are you interested in helping others?
Do you enjoy spending time with a variety of people?
If you answered yes to any of these, the opportunities for a Certified Pet Therapist Volunteer may be a perfect fit for you!
Pet Therapist Volunteers must provide updated Pet vaccination and certified pet therapy license papers.
NO HANDS-ON CARE IS REQUIRED!
Volunteers socialize with patients and can join them in fun activities WITHOUT giving on-hands care.
You set your own schedule and designate what geographic areas you want to visit.
Our office is located in Irwin, PA and we serve patients throughout all of Westmoreland County,
the eastern part of Allegheny County, and sections of Fayette County.

Hospice focuses on enhancing the quality of life, rather than length of life. It neither hastens nor postpones death; it affirms life and regards dying as a normal process.
The hospice program stresses human values beyond the physical needs of the patient. Hospice ensures patients spend their final days in dignity and comfort. ProMedica / Heartland Hospice's program utilizes a team approach to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of our patients and their families.
