Do you love to cuddle kitties? Would you find happiness in getting homeless cats a furever home?
Volunteers are need at our several offsite cat adoption locations in Philadelphia and the greater Philadelphia area. Volunteers are tasked with basic cleaning of the cats kennels, giving them care and socialization that makes them attractive to potential adopters, and interviewing prospective adoptive families.
Volunteers at our offsite locations are asked to fill their shift consistently. That shift can be once a month, once a week, or more frequently, that is up to you! Any assistance is more than welcome.
Our offsite locations have a morning shift and a night shift during the week. The morning shift is from 11-1 and the night shift is from 6-8. On weekends you can either stay for the entire 11-3 shift or split the shift in half.
Help give these kneady cats a snuggle and help to find their perfect family to complete.
*Volunteers must be 18 years old.

Description
The Animal Care & Control Team of Philadelphia (ACCT Philly) is the region’s largest animal care and control service provider. ACCT Philly is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit organization, contracted by the City of Philadelphia to provide animal control services. Our animal control officers provide service to over 142.6 square miles to the city’s more than 1.5 million residents and ACCT Philly’s facility in North Philadelphia handles more than 32,000 of the city’s animals, from dogs and cats, to small animals, reptiles, birds and wildlife, annually.
In addition to animal control and sheltering, ACCT Philly is open 365 days a year for pet adoptions. ACCT Philly also supports a foster care program where community members provide temporary homes for sheltered animals and one of the (if not THE) most extensive rescue partnership program in the country where approved rescue partners accept ACCT Philly animals into their adoption programs. Under contract ACCT Philly’s Animal Control Officers provide animal control services and code enforcement. Other exciting ACCT Philly programs include a food pantry for low-income pet owners, a vibrant volunteer program, trap-neuter-return for community cats, a unique Pen Pal program to assist dogs at risk ... and so much more!
