Trap Neuter Return (TNR) Team Member

It's flexible! We'll work with your schedule.

This is a Virtual Opportunity, with no fixed address.

We have had the exciting opportunity to launch a Trap Neuter Return program for colony cats in our community! Thankfully the program is taking off and we need more support for the 2017 season! To learn more about what TNR is (and what it isn't), you should swing by our site and read all about our program:

So here's the scoop: you don't need to be an expert at TNR to join our team. We will show you the ropes! Here's the type of stuff you'd be working on (this is a great opportunity for people who like working directly with animals and like spending time outdoors!). Remember, you will be doing a little of this, and a little of that, for each project depending on your availability! We have a team of folks that also help with each project to share the workload:

  • contacting MNSNAP / Kindest Cut to set up spay/neuter appointments
  • contacting the caretaker - speaking with them to understand the situation
  • driving out to the location for an evaluation
  • delivering live traps to the colony site
  • enter colony data into our database system
  • helping with transporting cats
  • processing and collecting the paper work
  • coaching the caretaker on best practices for colony care

We wouldn't start you off with all of this right away - we have several volunteers who can help as well! But the "boots on the ground" work will be a big part of the position.
