About

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
The Pillowcase Project is a preparedness education program for children in grades 3 - 5, which teaches students about personal and family preparedness, local hazards, and basic coping skills. The program is one of the key youth preparedness programs and is part of the Home Fire Preparedness Campaign. The curriculum consist of an hour long presentation with interactive opportunities and key leave behinds; this project is sponsored by Disney.

OPEN TIME DAYS

as available.⦆ Training takes a minimum of 2.5 hours online and four hours in classroom.⦆

Presentations are done in teams.

Presentation lasts a minimum of 50 minutes, plus set up and clean up.

REQUIRED TRAINING

Training takes a minimum of 2.5 hours online and four hours in classroom, as well as two observations.

Must pass online portion previous to classroom.
