Wanted: Arts Camp counselors and helpers! We are thrilled to welcome students into the Arts Center this summer for a variety of arts learning and summer fun. We are looking for enthusiastic, helpful, motivated individuals who want to use their time and energy to enrich the lives of Sherwood kids this summer.
Frequently Asked Questions:
* What time commitment is expected of me as an ArtSmart Summer Camp volunteer?
Summer Camp volunteers are asked to commit to a full week, Monday through Friday, to provide consistency for the students. Volunteers are welcome to help for 1-8 weeks. Morning only, afternoon only, and full day shifts are available, and the time commitment ranges from 2.5-6 hours per day. You will need to attend a required training session at the Arts Center before volunteering.
* Do I have to have a set schedule?
We do ask that volunteers commit to an entire week of ArtSmart Camp in order to provide consistency for our young campers. Summer ArtSmart camps run every week for eight weeks, during July and August.
* How old do I need to be before I can volunteer?
You must be 15 or older to volunteer for ArtSmart. We have had fantastic volunteer counselors from every age group! We will help find the best fit for your interests and experience level.
