Do you play an instrument? Do you have a nice voice and like to sing? We are looking for musical volunteers who can go out and play or sing to our patients. We are also looking for musical groups! Music can help make a persons day a little better, relax a patient, and it is always nice to hear good music. Please contact us if you would like to help out or know someone who is willing to bring some joy to our patients. We look forward to hearing from you!

Mission Statement
Our mission is to assure the patients we serve have access to a program of care that enhances the quality of life for those facing the end of life including their families. Care is emphasized by providing physical, spiritual, and emotional support to appropriate persons without discrimination. This care is only possible because of our skilled team and generous volunteers. In addition, we are dedicated to the care of the community by education and living the example of honoring death until it occurs. We have the opportunity and obligation to listen and interpret so we can best improve the quality of life of our patients through exceeding their expectations and fulfilling their wishes.
Description
- We are Midwest owned and operated. We make decisions locally. Our people live in the community we support.
- Kansas Palliative & Hospice Care is one of the oldest hospice providers in the State of Kansas with its approval to provide Medicare hospice services originating in 1991. We provide care and support to patients and their families in seven counites which include Douglas, Franklin, Jefferson, Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, and Wyandotte.
- We are committed to exceeding industry standards. We recognize that each patient’s life experiences and spiritual beliefs have created a unique individual who deserves the finest care and emotional support, while honoring and respecting their needs and wishes. All while keeping care costs lower by striving to care for our patients and their caregivers at home.
- Of all the benefits available to our patients we believe the hospice benefit is the most misunderstood. The benefits are incredible, the cost is negligible and yet the participation rate is low. We believe this is because of a fundamental misunderstanding of the program.
