ACES is an afterschool/summer program that helps urban 4th-8th grade students to overcome the Academic Achievement Gap here in the Twin Cities. The Summer Volunteer Team Leader position is a great opportunity for an individual to help improve the academic progress of urban students by helping in the facilitation of hands-on activities focused on reading, writing, math, and art by implementing sports within our curriculum.

Description
- ACES is an after-school program for grades 4-8 that maintains partnerships with professional sports teams in the Twin Cities.
- ACES operates at different sites across the Twin Cities, including public schools and Boys and Girls Clubs
- ACES uses a unique curriculum that uses sports to spark math and social-emotional skill development
- Our approach works! Students who consistently attend ACES show academic growth, improved behavior and school attendance, and increased identity with their community.
