PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Provides Service to the Armed Forces (SAF) services to the community through outreach support to military and veteran groups. Volunteers also provide service support at our various officers.
OPEN TIME DAYS
For Outreach Event Volunteers:｠ 3 hours per event, scheduled 1 to 3 events per month.｠ Events held on weekends as well as during week
For Office Volunteers:｠ 3 hours or more; 1 day per week during business hours
For Outreach to new Military Families: ｠2 to 3 hours from home or office sending information to families or calling families to answer questions regarding information provided to family. ｠To help build resilient families to support new military member in their career. ｠There is also need to enter information in Case Managment System after al information gathered following family outreach. ｠｠
REQUIRED TRAININGOrientation to Service to the Armed Forces
For Outreach Event Volunteers and Office Volunteers:
New volunteers will have the opportunity to gain experience through on the Job Training as well as instructor led classes made available.
For Outreach to New Military Families:
Learning about military culture and expecations of new recruitment training through graduation, advanced training, to career in military to veteran status. ｠
Take 2 on line courses to allow access to SAF Case Management System to create case files for clients. ｠｠
