As a non-profit multi-cultural arts organization we are dedicated to promoting, presenting and preserving the Indigenous cultures of the world through Music, Art, Dance, and Science. We are located in Balboa Park, south from the world famous San Diego Zoo. WBCC is the first solar building in Balboa Park and is a LEED (Leadership Energy Efficiency Design) Silver certified building. WBCC is one of the 2015 Balboa Park Sustainability Award winners.
We support all world cultures and we are dedicated to the health and wellness of the planet through ongoing lectures and workshops. WBCC has been producing Tribute to the Reggae Legends/ Bob Day (our largest fundraiser), film festivals, and indigenous community events for over 25 years. We believe these events give the San Diego community awareness of each other's culture, creating unity within diversity. WorldBeat Cultural Center is your passport to the world.
To help us continue the good works we need your help to rally support for our community center that brings all people of all races together as one. If you are looking to connect the world through arts, then we are the non-profit for you. If you are outgoing and have no problem asking for what is good and needed for this world, we need your help to keep our planet balanced and united. Join our fundraising committee, help us make phone calls to local businesses, send sponsorship packets, connect with donors, and crowdfund, all while working in unity and closely with worldbeat center staff.
We welcome you to volunteer with a cultural center that is making a difference on the planet. Pay It Forward.
