Volunteers help the staff to get elderly and impaired adult participants involved and engaged in the fun and social activities. The position offers a form of companionship to the participants attending day care. You work one-on-one with an individual or with the group. NO SPECIAL SKILLS NEEDED, just a friendly disposition.

Description
DayStay is an NC Licensed & Certified adult day care program located in Candler, easily accessible from Asheville, Enka and Canton. We provide a protective environment for those who are not capable of full time independent living. Our activity driven program provides socialization and personal care both for active seniors, as well as individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other conditions who cannot be left alone during the day. We are open weekdays from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm and provide a nutritious lunch and morning and afternoon snacks. Daily services such as bathing, personal care, exercise, and reality orientation are blended with recreation and a range of activities for the individual and the group setting.
