Available Volunteer Opportunity: Meal Assistant
Locations: Manchester, CT
Hours: Saturday mornings, Fall 2016. Session is 8 weeks long.
Depending on your role, your tasks may include:
* Help set up and serve meals
* Interact with children and families
Impact: By serving with this volunteer opportunity, you will be helping young children become socially, emotionally and academically prepared for kindergarten by collaboratively increasing the scope, quality and impact of local family-based programs and services.
In order to volunteer you should be:
* A registered Urban Alliance volunteer (you will have the chance to if you haven't already)
* 18 years or older
* Willing to attend an orientation prior to volunteering
* Open to an ongoing volunteer commitment that works with your schedule
* Able to interact with children and families
* Responsible, organized and dependable
A background check will be required to be placed with this volunteer opportunity.
