Information Desk Volunteer
Answers visitor questions at information desk in lobby, answers and directs incoming calls, stocks and organizes brochures and materials at information desk. Helps track visitor requests, questions, and comments to aid Museum staff, including occasional visitor surveys. Maintains knowledge of current and upcoming exhibitions, education programs, and other public offerings available at PMA.
Friendly, welcoming, excellent communication skills; problem-solving skills; ability to use variety of information resources provided comfortable interacting with visitors of all ages; able to work well with other volunteers; and comfortable, once trained, ringing up sales (admission and gift shop) on cash register.
Tuesday through Saturday volunteer dates available, year-round
Shift: Three hours, with breaks as needed. Shifts available weekdays from 10:00am - 1:30pm and 1:30pm - 5:00pm. Saturdays 11:00am - 1:30pm and 1:30pm - 4:00pm
Weekday volunteers: (preferred) once per week; Saturday volunteers: (preferred) once per month
