Current Volunteer Positions
  • All positions will report to the volunteer coordinator; some positions may have immediate supervisors for different departments.
  • All positions have a requirement of a minimum of 9 hours of service a month.
Flight- Flight Attendant Major Objectives
  • Provide an exciting and engaging experience the The Leonardo’s original blockbuster exhibit, Flight.
  • Engage with guests throughout the exhibit
  • Keep an eye on high traffic areas, (slide, cockpit, etc.)
  • Alert staff when exhibit components are out of order (flight simulator)
  • Restock supplies when needed
  • At least 14 years old
  • Willingness to interact with guests and be social
Leonardo’s Studio- Studio Apprentice Major Objectives
  • Assist First Floor facilitator in maintain a clean and creative space in the studio
  • Engage visitors and create a memorable experience
  • Prepare supplies
  • Teach Projects
  • Clean up space
  • Greet and engage visitors

Greeter- Major Objectives
  • Assist visitors in finding exhibits and other destinations
  • Acting as the first friendly face of the Leonardo

What is The Leonardo? The Leonardo is a hands-on science, technology, and art museum, with engaging an interactive exhibits for all ages.

Leonardo da Vinci stands out for his breadth of exploration and enduring influence. He was a brilliant artist, scientist, and engineer who approached life with insatiable curiosity, learning how to see and understand the world in new ways. The Leonardo is a non-profit community-powered museum which opened in 2011.

Once home to the Salt Lake City Public Library, The Leonardo’s downtown location has served the people of the Wasatch Front for nearly 50 years. The Leo is tremendously proud to carry on the legacy of community learning and invites you to become a part of our unique community powered museum experience.
