AF POSTCARD

The Greater Dallas Asian-American Chamber of Commerce presents the 27th Annual Asian Festival in the historic Fair Park. This free festival showcases over twenty diverse Asian cultures, and provides a platform for various groups to come together: Chambers of Commerce, Community Organizations, Churches, Temples, Schools and Artists gathered on one day to present experiences to deepen our knowledge and understanding of Asia.

Don’t miss your chance to experience the best of Asian performances, delicious Asian cuisine, and the chance to learn through art making, art watching, wellness classes and more. This festival not only provides a platform for Asian-Americans to graciously share their heritage, but also provides an opportunity to try something new, make a new friend, and to be curious.

We need volunteers to help with logistics during the event. This includes but is not limited to lifting, handing out solicitation, being a 'runner', helping our vendors, managing cultural performances, helping with our childrens activities fair, helping with our visit pavillions, running booths, coordinating food vendors, etc. For more information about what you can help with please contact Cassandra directly and we can set something up that works with your skills and time frame.

About Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce

Location:

7610 N STEMMONS FWY STE 690, DALLAS, TX 75247, US

Mission Statement

To advocate for its members and the Asian American business community while assisting the economic development in North Texas.

Description

The Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce was founded in 1986 with the mission to "Advocate for its members and the Asian American business community while assisting with the economic development of North Texas." Dallas offers a wide range of benefits, including its diverse culture and access to Texas’s most influential people, groups, and companies.

Over time, we have grown from a small chamber to a chamber of Commerce with over 1,200 members including 20+ ethnic groups; all dedicated to the growth of Asian American business in the Dallas area. In the year 2000, the chamber established the Multi-Ethnic Education and Economic Development (MEED) Center. The MEED Center focuses on job training, the entrepreneur development theory, and business assistance for the growing population in the area. Ideally, any member of the MEED Center will one day have the tools to be Chamber ready.

Each year brings new challenges, but it also brings new opportunities. Our original goal of promoting and developing Asian American businesses is becoming vastly more important within the Metroplex, our nation, and the world. Our work does not stop here.

What Can We Offer You?

At the Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce (GDAACC), we’re dedicated to providing our members with the tools and opportunities needed for the growth and development of their businesses. We offer a number of services including, but not limited to:

  • Business opportunities; the Chamber is notified of numerous opportunities, which we distribute to our members for their own personal use.
  • Speakers on topics related to the Asian community
  • Networking events such as luncheons, mixers, and meetings.

Our Members

Our members range from near to far, and consist of individuals and companies from all over the Greater Dallas and North Texas area. Our members are not limited to the Asian population, but also include any entrepreneur interested in doing business with Dallas’s Asian-American community. By joining the GDAACC you are connecting yourself with a large body of intelligent, able, and dedicated members who are interested in doing business with people just like you.
