Mission Statement

The BOLD Living Program is a free, wellness and support program that was launched to meet the needs of those affected by cancer in the Bronx. The program grew out of an ongoing psychosocial needs assessment of cancer patients where patients have asked for mind-body programs, support, physical fitness/nutrition workshops, creative arts programs, and health education classes. In response to these needs, our BOLD Wellness Workshop hosts over 10 free workshops per month at 4 different locations in the Bronx of the Montefiore Einstein Center for Cancer Care. Additionally, weekly counseling and support groups are offered by mental health counseling interns, and peer counseling through our BOLD Buddy Program. Everything is free, available in English and Spanish, and for anyone affected by cancer in the Bronx regardless of where they receive their medical care.
