If you are looking for a new volunteer opportunity where you make a difference, come and find out more information about hospice care.

Please note: if there are less than 3 INTERESTED people, this opportunity may be rescheduled to handle an immediate business/PATIENT'S need.

Great Lakes Caring encourages a philosophy of care that assists patients, their familities and caregivers during the patient's final stages of terminal illness. We promote dignity and emphasize quality of life for those who choose to die in familiar surroundings with the ones they love.

Why Great Lakes Caring? Do you have a need for a little something extra in your life....something that can provide you with a sense of fulfillment and a meaningful connection? Our volunteers tell us that volunteering with Hospice is life-changing and one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.

Find out what it means to be a hospice volunteer through this introduction training class. RSVPs are required. No medical diploma is needed to volunteer and volunteers aren't responsible for feeding patients or transporting patients.

Syllabus of information can be requested by e-mailing Doug at dweinstein@greatlakescaring.com.

After the free training, any interested applicant must fill out the new hire orientation paperwork that includes a TB-test and fingerprinting.

For more information, contact Doug Weinstein, Volunteer Coordinator, at 855-727-9111 or e-mail at dweinstein@greatlakescaring.com.
