ORGANIZATION: American Red Cross

PLACEMENT PURPOSE
A Preparedness Member is expected to be American Red Cross's public facing subject matter expert in Emergency & Disaster (All Hazards) Community Preparedness. A preparedness volunteer will advise individuals, families and local communities on how to be better prepared for any future disaster event, large or small, natural or man-made, from Home Fires to Hurricanes.

OPEN TIME DAYS
Days and/or evenings and/or weekends
2-4 hours per presentation
2-6 hours per community event/fair or HFC Canvassing

REQUIRED TRAINING
American Red Cross Volunteer Orientation
General Preparedness Overview Orientation (can be done remotely)
Preparedness Presenter Training & Assessment
