PLACEMENT PURPOSE
To provide support to disaster services. Volunteers respond to disaster scenes to assist those affected by volunteering on Disaster Action Teams. Volunteers can also choose to be involved in Preparedness Education, Client Casework, Disaster Assessment, Logistics, Mass Care, Staffing and Government Operations. Licensed Health Services and Mental Health volunteers are engaged to support disaster clients.
OPEN TIME DAYS
The time commitment depends on the position.
Volunteers are asked to attend training, regular meetings and commit to shifts and projects throughout the year.
REQUIRED TRAININGTraining is required ⦆and provided by the American Red Cross.
A current license is required of Mental Health and Health Services Volunteers.
