PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Volunteers provide timely assistance to those affected by disasters. Volunteers can work locally on a Disaster Action Team, teach Disaster Preparedness Education, support Home Fire Campaign events, and travel beyond the area to support disaster relief efforts.
The time commitment depends on the position.
Volunteers are asked to complete training, attend regular meetings and commit to shifts and projects throughout the year.
REQUIRED TRAININGTraining is required and provided by the American Red Cross.
