The American Red Cross - New Jersey Region is committed to a multi-year national Home Fire Campaign (HFC), which aims to reduce home fire death and injury rates by 25 over 5 years. Launched in October 2014 the HFC in NJ will target neighborhoods at-risk for home fires by installing & testing smoke alarms, providing fire safety & preparedness education to its residents. As a volunteer HFC Educator/Documenter you will work as part of an Install Strike Team (IST) made up of at least 2-3 volunteers & will be active in advising residents on how to make a Fire Escape Plan, reviewing causes of fires and how to better prepare and protect a home from fire.
