Do you enjoy working with people and have a desire to learn more about restoring Oregon’s natural areas? If so, we encourage you to become a Crew Leader! Working closely with volunteer program staff and volunteers, crew leaders are responsible for helping coordinate work party logistics, completing paperwork, ensuring safety of work party volunteers, planning meals when applicable and ensuring that enthusiasm and spirits remain high while accomplishing the specific work at hand. Crew leaders also serve as representatives of The Nature Conservancy by providing information about the organization and our preserves to work party participants. Crew leaders are responsible for assisting regional ecologists in projects such as trail maintenance, cabin and building maintenance, exotic species removal, monitoring and native seed collection, propagation and planting.
