Thank you for considering volunteering with Encompass Health-Hospice, formerly Alacare Home Health & Hopsice.

Our Phone Support volunteers call patients and family members of our current and past hospice patients for various needs and items.

Types of phone calls Phone Support Volunteers can make:
-Tuck in calls: we call our patients weekly to check in on supplies, medication, well being, and other needs
-Birthday calls: we call patients on their birthdays to provide companionship and emotional support
-Holiday calls: we call patients on holidays to let them know we're thinking about them and care for them during the holiday season
-Bereavement calls: we call family members of past hospice patients to encourage and remind them of our free monthly support groups offered by our trained staff

Phone calls can be made in the office or in the home of the volunteer.

If you are interested in volunteer in this capacity, please send us an email. We look forward to hearing from you!
