The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is seeking volunteers for its 2018 Summer Program, a 9-week camp starting in mid-June. Volunteers will serve as a support system for Club staff and will assist in implementing programs, leading field trips, and ensuring efficient Club operations. This position requires at least 12 hours per week from mid-June to late August, and can be used to obtain school credit or learning support requirements.
The Club offers a fun, safe, and affordable experience for kids ages 6-18. It has a positive and safe environment where programs and activities are led by our caring, responsible, and professional adult staff. Our 18,000 square foot facility and proximity to large outdoor field space allows us to provide a variety of programming options, including but not limited to: arts & crafts, music & drama, sports skill building, recreational games & leagues, computer skills & games, clubs, movies, and outdoor games.

Description
The Boys & Girls Club of Troy is a non-profit youth development organization that provides educational and recreational activities, in addition to mentoring programs, to more than 1,200 children, ages 6 to 18, in the tri-county area. For over 35 years, the Club has given youth a platform which allows them to develop into self-reliant, responsible, contributing members of the community. The Club conducts programming in five core areas: education and career development; character and leadership development; sports, fitness and recreation; health and life skills; and the arts. The Club operates daily after-school programming as well as a 10-week summer program.
