JVS offers job placement and employment support services to clients referred by Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission (MRC) Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors. Services include resume development, interview preparation, job search assistance and employment supports to assist clients in obtaining and sustaining employment.
Assistance with the following tasks:
- Online job searching (details about jobs will be provided)
- Completing online and paper employment applications with clients in person or without clients being present; job information about applicants will be provided as needed
- Assisting clients one-on-one with the search, find and application of job ads on behalf of clients ( will not be required to provide any counseling)
- Resume/cover letters retyping - will not be required to create resumes or cover letters just retyping when needed
Skills/Qualifications:
- Enthusiasm, reliability and willingness to learn is imperative for this position.
- Good interpersonal skills will be essential as it will require direct and indirect contact with clients.
- Strong computer skills: comfortable with Microsoft Office, working typing skills, Comfortable with basic documents formatting
- Strong communication skills
- Comfortable assisting clients in person and able to ask and collect information (work history)

JVS assists employers in their search for well-qualified job applicants and their initiatives to upgrade the skills of their incumbent workforce.
