Do you have a passion for making a positive impact in the lives of kids? The Kirkland Boys & Girls Club is looking for volunteers to help with our weekly computer coding club. This 8-week club will be using Google's CS [Compute Science] First curriculum, teaching kids to code various games using MIT's Scratch block-based coding platform. Volunteers, or "gurus," will build relationships with students as they assist them with basic techinal issues, programming problem solving, and one-on-one instruction. Experience with Scratch or other block-based coding preferred, but not required. Training will be provided at a mandatory volunteer orientation, held at the Club.
