The pantry is open for volunteers Monday - Friday from 2:00 - 4:30. Volunteers are asked to help organize, clean and maintain food pantry. All donations need to be sorted by food type and examined for expiration date. Floors need to be swept and mopped. Opened food boxes and trash need to be tossed daily. Food bags are created from the donations and an apple supply needs to be maintained.
Work gloves and water are provided.

Description
The Salvation Army of the Cape Fear has been working to build hope in our community through every storm, crisis, depression offering service to those in need since Januray 1887. The assistance that has been given throughout the years has changed but the volunteer "army" behind The Salvation Army has not. The Salvation Army could not have offered any of those services without the help of great volunteers like you.
