Bring companionship and comfort to those who are at the end of life. Our hospice volunteers do many things with clients and/or family members such as: weekly visits, going for walks, listening, transcribing a life story, and being a reassuring presence. Our program provides training. To learn more or get started as a volunteer, please visit our website at http://ourladyofpeacemn.org/home/volunteer/

Mission Statement
As Volunteers at Our Lady of Peace we know that our contributions, no matter how humble, help bring comfort, peace and dignity to our patients' final days. That is why we make it our mission to use our gifts whether directly or indirectly to help meet the unique emotional, physical and spiritual needs of those in our care.
Description
Our mission is to provide expert, compassionate care to children and adults with terminal illnesses who have limited financial resources. The focus is on comfort care, which means being free of pain and other symptoms that interfere with quality of life.
Our dedicated Care Teams work closely with patients and their families to develop an individualized care plan. Because coordination of services is so important, each Care Team consists of a physician, nurse, social worker, pastoral care director, pharmacist and volunteers. Bringing these resources together under one roof increases communication, reduces response time, and keeps patients and families involved in care decisions.
