ORGANIZATION: Crime Stoppers of Minnesota

  • 9 people are interested

We have transitioned from Wild Apricot to Vertical Response to be in contact with about 400 law enforcement agencies across Minnesota. The focus of this position is the maintaining of the contact database and to manage setup and sending of messages on a quarterly cycle with additional individual emails that the quarterly effort may generate. This person will work with a Board Member to write content and coordinate with Board Member to keep the contact list up to date based on responses received. We seek a person comfortable with Vertical Response, Wild Apricot or Constant Contact, or similar platform to obtain the maximum impact of this platform's content and visual tools in such a manner that it will be possible to transition to other volunteers when the year of commitment is over.

Work is virtual with a need to communicate and coordinate with Board Members. Being a resident of Minnesota is important to understand the location of our target contacts. Should have a high degree of attention to detail in format, spelling, syntax and information accuracy.

Mission Statement

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota’s mission is to assist law enforcement in solving crimes with the help of anonymous tips provided by members of the general public. We seek to make the neighborhoods and communities a safer place to live and work. We provide the people of Minnesota with a safe alternative to silence.

Description

Crime Stoppers of Minnesota provides the public with the ability to submit information about crimes and fugitives in a manner that keeps them anonymous, and offers a cash reward for information when it leads to a felony arrest. We submit those tips to law enforcement agencies across the entire State of Minnesota for investigation. We are an all-volunteer organization using advanced technology to receive tips, forward them to law enforcement, communicate anonymously with tipsters, as well as conduct all other operational functions of a nonprofit organization. Our Board members are doers to help us operate as a responsible nonprofit and critical thinkers to keep us viable to our stakeholders of the public, law enforcement and the media.
