Make a difference in the Garden! Get outside! Make new friends! Learn valuable skills!
We will be doing Beach restoration, which may include removing those undesirable invasive weeds! Cutting pathways for new stairs! Spot weeding, planting new shrubs, perennials and ferns! Talk about getting some good exercise!
Please wear sturdy shoes, dress in layers and bring a water bottle.
We will provide water, snacks, gloves, garden tools and a magical wooded environment!
Enter through the main gate, park inside and walk straight ahead to the Wagner House, meet at the south end in the mudroom, where you will see a "Volunteers sign in here" sign.
Must be at least age 16. Ages 16-18 require parental consent form, email below to receive form. 18 & over no form required.

Description
Located in Lakewood, WA, Lakewold is a 10-acre non-profit public garden and National Historic Site. Lakewold offers landscape architecture by Thomas Church, unique Garden Rooms, a large collection of rare and native plants, State Champion trees, over 900 rhododendrons, and 30 Japanese maples.
Lakewold's Georgian style mansion and historic architecture complete the gardens, where visitors can step back in time to an elegant past or enjoy a relaxing moment to contemplate the future.
An inspirational experience where generations of family can discover common ground through the beauty of the garden.
