Lutheran Family Services of Nebraska (LFS) welcomes hundreds of refugees to Nebraska every year. Newly-arrived refugees need support for daily tasks such as shopping, connecting to others in their new community and learning financial literacy. As a sponsor you will act as a guide, friend, and advocate for newly-arrived refugees in becoming self-sufficient in a timely period. Possible sponsorship opportunities include, shopping aid, set up, airport pick ups, and in home weekly visits.

Sponsor organizations can be volunteers of faith communities, non-profit organizations, businesses, etc. that provide resources and mentoring to newly arrived refugee families in Lincoln.

If you are a group looking to sponsor a refugee family, please contact Parker Cook at pcook@lfsneb.org for more information.
