No experience - no problem! Each and every volunteer brings new vitality and strength and becomes part of the Merrimack Valley Habitat family. Experience is not necessary. We offer individual and group opportunities, including corporate groups, schools, and faith-based organizations a wonderful way to build homes and build camaraderie - whether on our build site or at our ReStore.
If you are looking for local volunteering opportunities to do some community service, acquire new skills or put existing building skills to work, we welcome you to volunteer with Merrimack Valley Habitat.
We build every Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday (all year) 8:15 am-4 pm. Come every week or whenever your schedule allows. We welcome and appreciate your willingness to volunteer!
Our ReStore is also open 10am-5pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Visit our VolunteerUp site to create a profile and sign-up for a build day or to volunteer at our ReStore. http://volunteerup.com/Login.asp?w=i&o=79

We believe that a stable community begins with home ownership. By giving this opportunity to economically disadvantaged people in our community, we are enabling them to take control of their lives. Habitat’s ultimate goal is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness in the world by providing homeownership opportunities to those in need. Merrimack Valley Habitat for Humanity is part of a global nonprofit housing ministry that works in partnership with people in need to build or renovate simple decent homes. Habitat for Humanity is founded on the conviction that everyone should have a safe and decent place to live. Our programs bring people together - both at the community level and in the broader society (government, civic organizations, the general public, etc.) to build homes to be owned by families in the communities we serve in the Merrimack Valley.
We form unique partnerships between volunteer builders, skilled craftsmen, individual donors, faith communities, businesses, and prospective homeowners. Each Habitat homeowner must complete 300 hours of "sweat"equity working vith volunteers to build their own home, homes for other famlies, while also completing a series of morgage and personal finance classes.
