Best Day Foundation enables children and young adults with special needs to build confidence and self-esteem through adventure activities which stretch their limits, expand their true potential, reinforce their achievement, & connect them with diverse populations in their community. Our Florida debut will take place on March 25/26 (you can vonluteer for one or both) in Pompano Beach. The role of the Beach Buddy is one of the most important roles of the camp. You are the first contact for the child and the one who will be with them throughout the day. The connection you form with your child will be very important so remember to be a friend a positive attitude, encourage them and help them feel like a champion! The rewards will be enormous. Many of our participants have made such a bond with their Beach Buddies that they request them the following year!
We are officially three weeks out from our first Spring event on the weekend of March 25/26 event (flyer attached), so its time to get things rolling on the volunteer front. As you all know (especially those who have participated with us in past events) the volunteers are what makes this possible. Everyone one of us who has seen one of our kids run through the beach obstacle course or come in off the surf with that huge smile on their face, knows how amazing these events are for the kids. So lets make this this best one yet!That being said, please see below for our NEW AND IMPROVED registration system. New year, new registration system - that makes life super easy for our volunteers. You can register, choose the date and time of the event you want to participate in, and then just sit back and let us keep you posted as event day approaches.
With our new system you only enter your information once! No more signing waivers, No more standing by waiting for the links to go live. Plus - you can log in at anytime to get information about the upcoming events, your status and even get volunteer hours confirmation reports with at your convenience.
This system is for anyone and everyone who will take part in Best Day events, Participants and Volunteers.

The Best Day Foundation. . .what is it?
The Best Day Foundation helps children with special needs build confidence and self-esteem through safe, fun, everyday beach activities. Tandem surfing, body boarding, kayaking, and stand-up paddle boarding are the spotlight activities we have planned for our grand debut on April 2/3 here in Pompano Beach. What is unique to our organization is the wide net in which we cast in regards to our target demographic. We are not exclusive to any single special need. Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Visual Impairment, and Spinal Cord Injuries are just some of the types of physical and mental challenges we build our events around. The only thing that could possibly restrict a participant is the need for constant medical equipment, but if there is a way to get kids involved, we will find it.
Volunteers are the life-blood of our organization:
Everything from our board of directors to our "beach buddy" volunteers on event day serve on a volunteer basis, and every penny that funds this brilliant organization comes from local fundraising or from the generous hearts of our local sponsors.
