This volunteer will be responsible for overseeing/coordinating our southern rescue operations. He/she h elps facilitate pulling animals from the shelter, local transport, local foster and/or boarding, etc. This coordinator does not need to live in the south, but rescue experience and an understanding of the south to north rescue pipeline is required! This position will require about 10-15 hours a week.

Mission Statement
Survivor Tails Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 registered, foster based animal rescue that rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes abused, neglected, and unwanted cats and dogs. We aim to decrease the euthanasia rates of our high-kill shelter partners by promoting adoption and educating the public on the importance of spaying/neutering and microchipping their pets. Lastly, we strive to maintain a network of dependable foster families, capable veterinarians, and experienced trainers to ensure preparedness of our rescued pets for healthy, fulfilling lives in their adoptive homes.
Description
More than 4 million cats and dogs die each year in animal shelters across the country due to overpopulation issues. That's why we're here. Our mission is twofold: to find these unwanted animals loving homes of their own and to work with communities and like-minded organizations to stop the issue of overpopulation from the top. We don't want to just put a bandage on the issue, we want to prevent animal homelessness from the getgo.
