Are you interested in learning more about how hospice focuses on the spiritual care of the families they serve and in the community? We are looking for a individuals from our community who would like to make a difference in the lives of others.
We have a group of trained leaders putting together a fun and educational workshop to show you just how to do that. Because here at Optimal, it's about living.
Minimum age required to volunteer is 16 years old.

Description
Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.
Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and family in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!
