Assists Aquatic Biologist Mentor with their husbandry responsibilities in an unpaid capacity. May assist other biologists as needed and assist in the water quality lab. There is no monetary compensation for this position.
Application fee: $20 once accepted for position and must submit a reflection paper at the end of the internship.
Must give a small 3-5 minute presentation to professional staff about what was learned during the internship.
Minimum of 150 hours (over 15 week period). Schedule is usually Mon - Fri 8:30am - 4pm (a few weekend/evenings as needed)
Must have proof of being current with tetanus vaccination.

WAVE Foundation is a partner with Newport Aquarium. We go directly into our communities to education on aquatic life and conservation. We have three pillars: Conservation, Education and Volunteer Opportunities. Our volunteers and interns are integral to our communities growth on understanding aquatic life and what we can do locally to impact globally.
