Longmont Concert Series

The Town of Longmont is going for Zero Waste with their 15th Annual Longmont Celebrates Cinco de Mayo event! Longmont Celebrates Cinco de Mayo is an event that celebrates culture and honors the health of the Longmont community. Each year, thousands of people come together to join in the celebration and enjoy the food, shopping, live entertainment, car show, chihuahua beauty contest, and other free family activities.

The Cinco de Mayo team will be working hard to divert all event waste from the landfill, and their success hinges on volunteers like YOU to help out!

Volunteering at a Zero Waste Event is fun and easy. You'll work as a Zero Waste Station "Goalie," making sure event-goers put their waste in the right place. You'll also help out with setting up or breaking down zero waste stations. This is a great opportunity to educate the public about Zero Waste, while attending a fun event! Volunteers will be asked to commit to at least one three-hour shift. Longer shifts are always optional!

There are four shifts available: 8:30am-11:00am, 11:00am-2:00pm, 2:00pm-6:00pm, 6:00pm-8:00pm* (the last shift includes the all-important clean up!).

To volunteer to work Zero Waste for this event, please email bill@ecocycle.org
