Cancer changes everything for the family. Walk With Sally is dedicated to providing assistance through our individualized mentoring and community support services to instill hope and empower children experiencing trauma through a parent, guardians, or sibling's cancer journey. No one should face a loved one's cancer alone, will you show up for a child during this challenging time?
Become a Walk With Sally Mentor
To become a mentor you must have lived with or lost a parent / sibling to cancer or are a cancer survivor (must be in remission for 5 years). You must be able to commit to the program for a minimum of 1 year. The hours shared together are 6-8 hours per month and we offer FREE activities to fulfill this requirement. In addition, you will belong to a community of mentors giving back to their community and be assigned a Case Manager for further guidance + support. All mentors must successfully complete an application, training and background checks.
The location listed above is not exactly where you will be volunteering. We have children on our waitlist all over the Greater Los Angeles area and create listing for volunteers near where we have children in need of a mentor.
Please contact info@walkwithsally.org for more information or submit your interest through Vol Match. Please feel free to check out our website at www.walkwithsally.org!
Come join Walk With Sally! Be part of the hope for our children.
