About

Volunteers will build relationships with newly arrived refugee families. The role of a family mentor is to help new families acculturate to and navigate American systems while respecting the family’s culture and traditions. Volunteers will provide newly arrived refugee family one on one services.

Some of the tasks may include - scheduling necessary appointments, creating resume, applying for a job, driving to appointments etc.

Requirements:

  • Strong respect for other cultures
  • Knowledgeable about Columbus
  • At least 18 years old
  • Background Check
