Join Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group to Restore Salmon Habitat; Saturdays, 10:00am-1:00pm
Please join us to help restore native riparian plants along the Skagit River and its tributaries. These plant s will help restore salmon homes by providing shade and cover for salmon and leaf litter for aquatic insects, which in turn provide food for the salmon. These riparian zones also improve water quality by controlling erosion and filtering pollutants.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to build partnerships that educate and engage the community in habitat restoration and watershed stewardship in order to enhance slamonid populations
Description
The Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group (SFEG) is a private, non-profit organization working to protect and enhance salmon resources in the Skagit and Samish River watersheds. Through the hard work of our volunteers we have been recognized as a local leader in salmon restoration. Our goals are achieved through education, restoration and community involvement. As a non-governmental organization, cooperation is enhanced with local landowners, conservation groups, government agencies and tribes. We are one of 12 regional fisheries enhancement groups in Washington state that are part of a coordinated effort to educate and involve the public in salmon enhancement activities across the state at the community level.
