Summer is here! Enjoy it even more by volunteering outside. Are you an apartment dweller that would love a little patch of dirt to dig in? Or maybe you would like an excuse to spend a little more time outside this summer. If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you.
This growing season (July-October), help a senior who really enjoys their garden but just cannot do all the garden maintenance anymore. We need gardners who can help seniors a few hours a month keep up their beautiful flower beds. Very flexible hours. You will be matched with a senior and garden that fits your availability and interests.
If you are an inexperienced gardener looking to learn more about gardening, this is the perfect opportunity to learn from long-time gardeners. Experienced gardeners will find a kindred spirit with their senior partner. Many of our senior neighbors have lived in their home for 40+ years and every plant has a story to tell.
We are a nonprofit serving seniors in the Como Park/Falcon Heights area.

Description
Our main goal is to keep our community seniors living in their homes. We organize and lead exercise programs, caregiver relief services, in-home nursing visits, volunteer drivers and friendly visitors are among the services we provide. We work in the Como Park and Falcon Heights community.
