Are you interested in history? Do you love working with children and youth? Are you a natural storyteller?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Bartow History Museum is looking for you. Program Guides are needed to lead field trips, work with homeschool families and help facilitate scout programs. After a training period, you will work with the Program Department staff to learn the ins and outs of various programs, and be assigned to groups as needed. You may also be asked to participate in other programs, such as workshops, camps and special events.
Some weekend hours are needed, but we are primarily looking for volunteers who have flexible weekday hours, particularly during the school day. If you are only available on specific weekdays, or during specific weekday hours, we will be glad to work with you during those times, as programs are available.
Between the ages of 14 and 18? Ask about our Junior Volunteer Program.
Volunteers receive free admission to the Bartow History Museum, Tellus Science Museum and Booth Western Art Museum.
