4th Annual Walk to End Lupus Now(tm)-Madison. We are taking steps to raise awareness and funds for our fight against lupus. This fundraiser enabling us to continue our vision as we strive to advance the science and medicine of lupus. Our ultimate goal is to find a cure and improve the quality of life for all people affected by lupus.
The walk begins and ends in Fireman’s Park with a 1 or 3 mile walk on the Pheasant Branch Conservancy Trail System. Following the walk is a snack and entertainment. The walk offers a chance for lupus patients, their families and friends to come together to raise awareness and funds to fight lupus.
We are looking for volunteers for general set-up, clean-up, snack and water distribution, route monitors, registration, and more! Walk begins at 10 am.

Mission Statement
The Lupus Foundation of America, Wisconsin Chapter, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that strives to support individuals and families affected by lupus, increase awareness; and to support research efforts which improve diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately find the cause and cure of lupus.
Description
We provide educational materials, support group meetings statewide and information on our website for lupus patients and their families, plus medical professionals. We provide newsletters, take part in health fairs, sponsor an annual Lupus Medical Symposium to heighten awareness of lupus.
We have funded local research through the Medical College of Wisconsin and at UW-Madison. Research is also funded at the national level through our national office, the Lupus Foundation of America.
