Flower Power volunteers create beautiful floral bouquets for hospice clients and their families using donated flowers. The bouquets are arranged on Monday afternoons during the summer, and hospice nursing staff, social workers and volunteers deliver the flowers throughout the week.

If there are interested folks who are unable to arrange at 12:30 on Mondays, we are always grateful for donated garden flowers and greenery.

This is a lovely way to add to the Quality of Life of those in hospice care.

Description

OhioHealth Hospice in Athens program Athens, Hocking, Meigs, and Vinton Counties in Ohio. Hospice offers nurses, home care aides, physical, occupational and speech therapists, social workers, and volunteers to make the final months of the terminally ill as comfortable, as pain-free, and as fulfilling as possible.

Volunteers are an integral part of the Interdisciplinary Hospice Team and are treated and trained as unpaid employees. We have a volunteer coordinator who oversees and nurtures our volunteer program.
