Alpha Foundation is looking to starting a YouthBuild Program to help with career development and education for our at-risk youth. We think this would be an idea position for someone who has retired from their construction career, and is looking to do something constructive with their time.

The Project Manager will be responsible for day-to-day management of our YouthBuild program, in which low-income young people ages 16 to 24 work full-time for 6 to 24 months toward their HEDs or high school diplomas while learning job skills by building affordable housing in their communities. '

Emphasis is placed on leadership development, community service, and the creation of a positive mini-community of adults and youth committed to each other’s success. The Project Manager will supervise project staff and oversee all contracts and performance documentation as well as provide supervision on construction sites including monitoring participant safety and learning.

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Training, Social Sciences, Social work, MBA, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred but not required.

A minimum of four years of experience in construction management and or workforce development type initiatives with increasing responsibilities for multi-faceted direction and planning.
