Planning is underway for Christkindlmarket Des Moines taking place the first weekend of December at Cowles Commons: http://www.christkindlmarketdsm.com.
Our large group meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 6:45pm. Areas in need of support include: operations, marketing, sponsorship, fundraising, vendors, volunteers, programming, beer, Gluehwein and KinderKorner.

About Iowa European Cultural Connection

Mission Statement
As a grassroots non-profit, we serve as a platform to carry on European traditions, to support language education and to create cultural awareness. We are a resource for Iowans to connect with European culture.
Description
Established in January 2015, IECC has grown from three founders to a board of nine, and an event planning committee of 25. Six community members serve as consultants. Volunteer hours include approximately 200 hours per month total. In addition to several annual fundraisers, we are producing the first Christkindlmarket Des Moines in 2016 with plans to produce this community experience for many years to come.
